Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies the results. Catron County Criminal History does not keep or record those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
When you email us, the message is retained as needed to prepare and send a response. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal duty.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive basic technical information whenever a page loads, including:
- Your device's Internet Protocol address
- The browser name and version in use
- Operating-system and device-category details
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them
- A referring website, when one is supplied
- The date and time associated with each view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help measure traffic patterns, such as which pages are read most often and where visits end. No Criminal-Record Data on File
Catron County Criminal History does not build, retain, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Its content identifies official access routes, including the Catron County Sheriff's Office, New Mexico courts, the New Mexico Department of Public Safety Law Enforcement Records Bureau, and the New Mexico DPS Sex Offender Registry / OffenderWatch. Government access to public records is governed in part by the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act, NMSA 1978 §§14-2-1 through 14-2-12. A person's right to inspect their own state arrest-record information is addressed by NMSA 1978 §29-10-6. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not compiled into consumer reports or third-party criminal files.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies supply the search tools. Information submitted through a search box is handled under that provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its own retention and disclosure practices. Read the applicable provider policy before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Catron County government, New Mexico court portals, NMDPS LERB, OffenderWatch, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once you follow an external link, the destination's privacy terms apply. Review those terms before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may measure activity across multiple websites to select targeted ads. That process occurs on the provider's systems and is not controlled by Catron County Criminal History.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal information is not sold. Limited data may be available to:
- Outside search providers that process a submitted query
- Analytics vendors that measure traffic and site performance
- Advertising networks that serve content on these pages
- Government or law-enforcement authorities acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for information collected through the site. No service connected to the internet can guarantee complete security, however, so Catron County Criminal History cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If we learn that a minor supplied personal data, that information will be removed promptly.
Your Data Rights
Your place of residence and the law that applies to a request may provide additional rights concerning personal data. New Mexico's IPRA governs qualifying records held by public bodies, while NMSA 1978 §29-10-6 governs an individual's inspection of their own arrest-record information at the state repository. Those laws do not turn this private site into the custodian of Catron County government records. For information held by us, you may:
- Request access to personal information retained about you
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Seek deletion of information associated with you
- Object to or opt out of certain processing when applicable
